The William Humphrey’s Art Gallery is delighted to announce that we will be hosting the third Northern Cape Artists Exhibition in April 2016.

Once again, we would like to invite artists from the Northern Cape region to submit their work for selection. There is no theme for the exhibition, as we would simply like to showcase the artistic talent of the Northern Cape. The exhibition will open in Kimberley, Wednesday the 20th April and run till Wednesday the 18th of May. As in 2014, we will be travelling with a selection of artworks from the Northern Cape Artists Exhibition to Upington, showing at Hoërskool Duineveld.

Artist Christopher Reid and several of his students have had work accepted into this juried exhibition. It was their first year entering the juried exhibition. Reid has been teaching workshops to students in Douglas, Northern Cape and said “I am very proud of the hard work my students have put into their art and that they will be representing Douglas in this exhibit. Reid’s “Dappled Light With Lantern” and “Geisha” were accepted. For Trudi Bosman, Stella Coffee, and Hanlie Gous, it was their first public exhibition. Being accepted into a juried show is a result of all the hard work they have put into their art.
